Loriguilla, a small village in the region of Valencia, with a 1.500 population, has been an example of how to deploy Governalia (linked to the T-Seniority Project) as a public point installed in the local elder´s centre of Loriguilla, a place where older people meet every day to chat and share leisure activities. In Loriguilla case, Governalia services where accessed using a Nintendo Wii, with Internet acces, in order to reach public services over the television.

The users of Loriguilla are mainly visiting the pictures published of the old town, pictures taken 50 years ago, and the current information about public funds for elder people (social meals, travels and public aids for residences). The following video shows what the objectives and services of Governalia are. We stress how the first phase of Governalia, and easiest one to implement, is to convert the traditional site of a local council in an Accessible and Inclusive Portal, easy to use by anyone.

Digital inclusion in the portal has a direct impact on the citizens as it incorporates a better use of public content and facilitates greater participation of citizens through services such as appointments, web-phones, news or “report it” features.

We also see at the demo, how to improve communication processes of the councils with their citizens by providing a more direct communication channel with simple and direct messages combining multimedia elements as images and video, which brings together governments and services. Finally, it is shown how e-Government procedures are convert into accessible due to the engine that incorporates Governalia platform, allowing anyone to be able to complete an e-form.
